The November flea market at the Palacio de Memoria marked the beginning of the Christmas spirit

The recently concluded end-of-the-year market at the Palacio de Memoria was another resounding success. With more merchants and families in attendance, following the IATF Level 2 Alert statement on Metro Manila on November 5, the event showcased true Christmas vibes and the fun and enriching spirit of European street culture.

On its opening day, November 6, event operations were extended until 6:00 p.m. M., Since the number of guests to the market reached more than 130. The Galleria de Gunita was also attended by more than 160 guests, who came to enjoy a delicious picnic experience. , complete with a wide variety of food basket and grass box offerings from Apéritif Manille, Run Rabbit Run, Cocktail Bar Manila and The Loggia. The music of Local Sun, Bins and Emel Rowe also filled the afternoon with a relaxing weekend atmosphere in the extensive gardens of the Palace. Meanwhile, on November 7, European culture enthusiasts enjoyed indulgent cocktail mixing sessions courtesy of Don Papa Rum’s Open Bar, and cigar carving and rolling at Tabacalera Incorporada’s Cigar Bar.

The event’s art, antiques and retail fair also drew more visitors as it featured a broader and more dynamic mix of merchants including Travelfund, Mark Bumgarner, Sassa Jimenez, Store One, ZOE, Etniko Pilipino, PhilHHDA, Vidro , Fiori di Marghi, Rue Angelique, Casa Mercedes, Rafikimono, Betina, RHM, Kassa, Brando Arts & Antiques, Fren and SENSASI. Pet grooming brand Presidential Paws was also added to the list this time to cater to the many furry friends who also graced the weekend event along with their families.

Sponsored by Smart Infinity, the two-day event that took place on the grounds of the mansion in the city of Parañaque provided a safe and relaxing community environment for guests, as the organizers observed a strict health protocol, such as the verification of proof of vaccination, verification of temperature and social distancing within the venue.

For those who missed the event, Galleria de Gunita will return in December 2021, while the flea market is scheduled to mount its fifth race in January 2022. Palacio de Memoria is open during the Christmas season for guests looking for a quick cultural trip inside the Metro.
