# Roommates, the joy of parenthood is one of the most exciting times of your life, but when that happy moment is ruined by the negligence of doctors in your newborn baby’s delivery room, an explanation is needed. A Colorado couple was devastated when their newborn baby’s face was slashed during a failed emergency cesarean section and are now taking legal action.
@NYPost reports, Reazjhana and Damarqus Williams from Colorado they were full of joy in advance of the arrival of the daughter who was originally scheduled to be by natural childbirth; however, an emergency cesarean section quickly turned her joy into a nightmare. While Reazjhana was in labor at Denver Health with her daughter Kyanni Williams, doctors informed her that they could not find a heartbeat and decided that she needed an immediate cesarean section that caused severe damage to the newborn’s face.
Little Kyanni suffered a nasty injury to her face as a result of the failed caesarean section that forced her to receive 13 points. Damarqus explained what she says happened in the delivery room: “They said our baby made a sudden movement, they couldn’t hear her heartbeat or find it, and they took her for an immediate cesarean section. They said his face was close to the wall of the placenta. “In addition, the Willams family has created a GoFundMe page to raise money to hire legal representation because they intend to take legal action against the doctors and the hospital.
Walter Williams, Kyanni’s grandfather, spoke to the local media and stated how heartbreaking the situation was for his family. “That your granddaughter is born to go out to see the plastic surgeon, to have 13 stitches done, is devastating, it is heartbreaking. I’ve never heard of anyone having to deal with their baby’s face looking like this after a cesarean section, ”she said.
Tashaira Williams, who is the newborn’s grandmother, says doctors “must be held accountable for what they did” to the girl.
So far, Denver Health representatives have not publicly commented on what happened to Kyanni Williams.
