Being co-stars with Taylor Swift has its perks. In an interview with Capital UK, Margot Robbie talked about being in amsterdam, the new film from director David O. Russell, also stars Christian Bale and John David Washington (and pretty much everyone you like), with the “All Too Well” singer. “I already know Taylor, so she wasn’t a fan girl moment,” she said. “She was more like, yay, I get to work with another friend, this is so, so nice.”
Robbie called Swift a “real girl” and revealed the free merchandise he received from her:
“The album that was coming out around the time we were filming was [Folklore], and she gave me, I think it was like one of the vinyls of folklore and like some merchandising and things like that. Honestly, when I took it home, it wasn’t my friends who freaked out. It was my male friends who said: ‘Can I keep the folklore T-shirt? Can I keep the folklore hoodie?’”
Robbie ended up giving the gifts “to my friends because they were so excited and they were much more T-Swift fans than my friends.” Meanwhile, Swift cats co-stars are still looking for someone to take their “Yo!” sand boxes
amsterdam comes out October 7.
