In September we hear that IFC Midnight had acquired the US distribution rights. See for me, a home invasion thriller from director Randall Okita (The lock), and we were planning to release it sometime in 2022. Now we know exactly what his plans are for the film: IFC Midnight will bring See for me to theaters and VOD in January 7thth.

Written by Adam Yorke and Tommy Gushue, earning his first feature film writing credits, See for me stars prolific voice actor Skyler Davenport in his first lead on-screen role, prolific character actor Kim coates (Sons of Anarchy), and SmallvilleLaura Vandervoort. The story goes on

Sophie, a blind teenager, who looks after a house in a secluded mansion that is attacked by burglars looking for a hidden safe. Her only means of defense is a phone app called See For Me that connects her to Kelly, a veteran and nationwide volunteer who spends her days playing online first-person shooter games and now must see on behalf of Sophie. .

Davenport plays Sophie and is actually visually impaired. Also in the cast are Jessica Parker Kennedy (The flash), Joe Pingue (Impious), Pascal Langdale (Killjoys) and George Tchortov (Follow, continue).

See for me is a Wildling Pictures production, produced by Matt Code and Kristy Neville. David Di Brina is serving as executive producer. The film was made with the participation of Telefilm Canada and Ontario Creates.

It has interested me See for me since I first heard it in September, so I’m glad to hear that the US release date is so close. I’m not sure I’ll be back in theaters yet in January, but I’m sure to see this movie on VOD. The cast and plot synopsis are enough to warrant my viewing, a trailer is not necessary, but with the release date just two months away, hopefully there will be a trailer to share very soon.
