Mountaineer could try to emulate his grandmother and win a first Group One at the Grosser Preis Von Berlin in Hoppegarten next month.
Trainer Sir Mark Prescott is considering the big race in Germany on August 8 for his Group Two-winning four-year-old filly.
The Qatar Lillie Langtry Stakes at Glorious Goodwood on July 31 is the alternate target for Alpinista, who won the Lancashire Oaks at Haydock in her last outing.
His grandmother Albanova won the German feature film in 2004, when it was known as Deutschland-Preis and was played in Dusseldorf.
Prescott said: “Okay. Either he’ll go for the Lillie Langtry at Goodwood or he could go to Germany for Group One that Albanova won, who is, of course, his grandmother.”
Mountaineer could be accompanied to Berlin by fellow Red Alert, who completed a hat-trick at Ascot on Friday.
Prescott plans to move Golden Horn’s daughter in class after three handicap victories.
“She has to find a little black guy,” he said.
“She could go to the same place, there is a six-mile list race in Berlin, the Stayer Prize.”
