Bryce Dallas Howard’s narrative directorial debut is on the way. The “Jurassic World” actress and “Dads” director is set to produce and direct a genre-changing reimagining of “Flight of the Navigator” for Disney +. Deadline confirmed the news.
Released in 1986, the original science fiction film is set in 1978 and centers on a 12-year-old boy who travels eight years into the future after being abducted by an alien spaceship.
Howard and Disney + share a story. The “Rocketman” star directed two episodes of “The Mandalorian” and one episode of “The Book of Boba Fett,” his upcoming spinoff series. His first documentary, “Dads,” a portrait of contemporary fatherhood, was released on Apple TV + in 2020.
